Follow these easy steps to get your Zanussi CZC 17/6 A Refrigerator up and running in no time.
Locate the Zanussi CZC 17/6 A Refrigerator in a cool, well-ventilated room, ensuring that the air openings are not obstructed. Keep it away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, and ensure it is not close to cookers, radiators, or boilers.
Ensure the appliance is connected to a power supply voltage and frequency of 220-240 V / 50 Hz. It must be possible to disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply; therefore, the plug must be easily accessible after installation.
Before using, remove all securing tapes. Wash the inside of the appliance with lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). Do not use soap or detergent, as the smell may linger. Dry thoroughly.
After installation, leave the appliance for 2 hours before turning it on, to allow the refrigerant to settle.
The temperature inside the refrigerator is regulated by a thermostat with 6 temperature positions and one 'OFF' (O) position. Turn the thermostat dial to the required position, with the intermediate position (3-4) usually being the most suitable.
When first starting-up or after a period of non-use, let the appliance run for at least two hours on the coldest setting before placing any food inside. Then, turn the thermostat knob to the normal operation position.
